Smell of raw flesh

Blood splashed on the face of the mother

Infanticide!

Soldiers in search of the royal blood

            butchered many innocent infants.

Weeping faces could not stop this gory act –

            but, the immaculate baby boy survived.

Smell of raw flesh

Blood splashed on the face of the soldiers

Crucifixion!         

Jews' intention of assassinating the great man

            ended in Golgotha

They nailed Him on the Cross –

            but, He rose again.

Smell of roasted flesh / naked flesh

Liquor splashes on the face of the people.

Sin!

Satan wanted humans to fall in to his web

and has succeeded in many a ways

Blood of Christ is still wet –

but, am I crucifying Him again!
